Visitor Information

Hi, and thank you for choosing Tipton!  The following is some information that we hope will make your stay here pleasant.

The transient parking is located adjacent to the Operations Building and the self-serve 100LL fuel tank (please refer to the picture on the Home Page).  As you face the Operations Building from the ramp, the Flight Planning Room is located on the right side of the building.  The Flight Planning Room offers Duats access, DTN weather service, space for flight palnning, and vending machines.  The room is spacious enough for your passengers to get out of any weather while you secure your aircraft and, of course, offers 24 hour access t o restrooms. 

During operating hours, please register with our operations staff.  After hours, please sign our registration log in the Flight Planning Room.  This helps us keep track of our visitors and allows us to contact you during your stay should a need arise.

During operating hours, we will allow vehicle access to the ramp for loading/unloading.  Please see our on-duty operations person and they will be happy to get you in the gate.  After hours, you may use the personnel gate located on the east end of the Operations Building.  The gate code is posted in the Flight Planning Room by the registration log; please write it down for future reference.

We have an arrangement with the local Enterprise office whereby they will leave cars for our customers.  IF YOU ANTICIPATE ARRIVING DURING NON-BUSINESS HOURS, PLEASE CALL US SO THAT WE CAN ENSURE YOUR CAR WILL BE AVAILABLE TO YOU.  See the link below for more information or to rent a car, or call the local Enterprise office at 301-470-3388.

Should you have a problem after hours, you can reach Michael, the Airport Manager, at 443-336-1720.  If you have to leave a message he'll try to get back to you as quickly as possible.  Please understand he has a life (ok, maybe not much of one) outside the Airport.
